Vincent Family

On the morning of July 16, 2025, the day began like any other. At 4 a.m., the mother of 10-year-old Xander went to work. Around 7:30, Xander rode his bike the short distance to see her. Though he tried to leave several times, he kept returning just to hug her, kiss her, and say, “I love you, Mom”—over and over again. At 11:30, he gave her one final hug and left. Later that day, after finishing errands, she had just arrived home when her 13-year-old son, Cooper, called in a panic. He and Xander had been biking home from the pool when a car struck Xander. There was blood everywhere. She raced to the scene, only to find Xander lying motionless on the pavement, with Cooper beside him, sobbing. Xander was rushed to the hospital, but despite every effort by the medical team, his injuries were too severe. He had been run over by both the front and back tires of the vehicle. He passed away shortly after. Cooper had witnessed the entire tragedy. In shock but brave, he called 911, contacted his mom, and even performed CPR. That day, he was his brother’s hero. Xander was a brilliant, kind-hearted boy who loved math and made friends wherever he went. He had a light that touched everyone around him—pure, loving, and unforgettable.
