Dominic Nunez is a 17-year-old junior at Thunder Ridge High School in Idaho Falls, ID. A few weeks ago, he began experiencing severe abdominal pain and was rushed to the emergency room. After a series of tests, Dominic and his family received the devastating news: he was diagnosed with Stage 4 Rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer. Since then, he has undergone two surgeries and received a comprehensive treatment plan. Over the next 15 to 18 months, his treatment will involve further surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy, much of which will take place at Huntsman Cancer Institute or Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City.
